26 weeks!

This pregnancy has been much easier than when I was pregnant with Julia ( I would do all over again for you, peanut!). Between less morning sickness and having a 2.5 yo to chase after, time is flying. I am just days shy of the third trimester.

Rainy day fun

We have not had much rain in omaha this summer so I refuse to complain when it arrived. Chris had to work so we played at the mall and Julia tested her umbrella on the deck.

They are home!!

Julia and Chris came home today. Joy!!!!

It's a wrap...for now

We joked about how huge our master closet was when we moved in to the house. We said a few people could sleep in there, turns out we are having one person sleep in there!
When Julia was little she slept in our bed and we slowly moved her to a pack-n-play and then to her crib. Our room was crammed with our bedroom stuff and her crib! We knew with baby boy he was going to share our room for the first part of life. We ran through several option for the pack-n-play and finally went with the closet. I have spent the last few days clearing out extra stuff and even pulled out a bar and shelf to make room. I think this will be the perfect spot to get some sleep! The door won't have to ever be closed to it is perfectly safe. We can even have use of our bedroom for dressing and showering with out bothering him.

The weekend

Julia and Chris are in MN for the Pelach family reunion. It is expensive to board our dogs and we are going to MN in a few weeks so I stayed home. They are having a blast while I am keeping busy doing projects for babies room. Gramps just send me a photo of Julia doing her favorite thing--swimming!

What I like about you

Julia and I were enjoying our breakfast last week and she started singing "What I Like About You". She is a Shrek fan and that song is featured in that movie. She has been known to ask us all to join in singing with her. This time, she was solo.

Getting good energy

I hope you have already seen the video of Julia saying her prayers because it is too cute to miss. This photo is similar in that it is another part of our night time routine : diaper/pull up time. Julia has been potty trained for over a year and night time training will happen when she is ready.
We went out yesterday and bought pull ups. I asked Julia to bing them to her room. A while later she invited me up to see that her animals were ready to get good energy.
Here you can see them all snug in their pull-ups.

Cookies!!

Over the past few years I have grown to love baking. I wanted to teach this skill to Julia so she is often in the kitchen assisting me. The funny part is right now I am not a huge fan of chocolate ( crazy, I know!) so I have been sending cookies off for Chris to share at work.

Desk top crowds

I have wanted to get Julia one of these little lap-top desks and finally picked one up today, along with some adorable apple stickers that we used to decorate the sides and top.
I had this grand idea she would use it to create art and later on, write her first poem. I knew that for now, it would be her snack tray. I didn't envision the large crowd her desk would draw. I love that she wants all her friends to enjoy her new desk.

FYI: I can now blog from my phone so you will hearing a lot more from me since it is loads easier!

24 week ultrasound

Went in for an ultrasound today and baby boy is doing great. He weighs 1lb 6 oz. He was kicking and wiggling. He is like his big sister and has his hand near his mouth.

Craps me up!

This is short but sweet. Julia misunderstood the phrase " that cracks me up!" and says, " That craps me up every time!" today it was in reference to the cat hiding behind the toilet.

MN Friends come for a visit!

The upside to moving is that when we do get to see our friends---they are stuck with us for awhile! Our wonderful friends, Janessa and Ben came to visit this last weekend. I can honestly say I have not laughed so hard in so long. Janessa and I are both expecting babies so lots of baby chatter. Julia thinks Janessa is having a girl, she is good at these things!

First stop: The Amazing Pizza Machine. If this photo doesn't prove that Janessa is going to be a great mom, I don't know what will! Shooting peanuts at elephants and such.

Scheels has a Ferris Wheel. Ben was the only one not pregnant or super tall so he took the little lady. What a great guy!
