Good bye to a great friend

A very good friend of ours passed away, Miss Hazel. Hazel has lived with me since I was in high school. She was a wonderful cat and we will miss her very much.
She was very sick and we knew she was going to leave us the following morning so we all took turns giving her great cuddles.
Julia didn’t know what was happening but was thrilled Hazel ( Hagul) was sitting on her lap ( “Hagul, yap?"”)

“Hagul, owwie heart. Heaven”

We love you Hazel and hope you are loving Heaven and giving great leg massages. <3

Children’s Museum

Toddlers consume households. I think that is a fair statement to make. They consume the food and the attention of all in it.  Jules is fun, adorable, brilliant and a handful.

The local children’s museum has every third Sunday free admission. We finally remembered to mark it down on the calendar and head on over.

Our first stop along the way was to visit Ronald McDonald. Julia was in love with the dude. She insisted on sitting on his lap.

Kitties, Cookies and Bells!

Jules and I had a wonderful day today, just the girls’ hanging in the Linden Hills neighborhood. I wanted to take her to Wild Rumpus and we ended up find other fun places to visit as well.

I was more impressed with the fish tank behind the mirror than she was. If the lights were off in the bathroom you could see the tank clearly, turn them on and it was a mirror. I think the magic was lost on her, she just wanted to eat the bubbles in the sink

Jules was thrilled to see a kitty roaming the store, she would seek it out whenever it left our sight. She did so well petting it nicely. It lacked a tail so no worries about pulling.

They have 2 resident chickens, she had no interest in saying hello.

We left the book store and the kid with the amazing memory reminded me that I said we could go to Great Harvest Bread CO. She just said “Eat”. We stroller over and grabbed two enormous cookies and found a nice area to sit and enjoy them with a bit of milk

Before indulging in her cookie, Julia made sure the resident doll was relieved of her thirst by sharing her milk.

Up to something, not sure what but her eyes are saying it’s on the way.

Fun with water. Creative Kidstuff had this fun water table set up just outside their store. We had to leave because she kept drinking the water. We grabbed a  fun cage bell and castanets.

Wonderful day with an amazing child, I am blessed <3

Taking Candy from A Daddy

Julia and I went to Walgreens today, I told her she could pick out a sucker for Daddy * He hearts them*.
She gave it to him when we got home and he kindly shared it with her--big mistake. She screamed every time he tried to eat some of it.

I made this card and just had to share! Isn't she the sweetest? Don't worry, Chris, the cuteness is even better once you open the card so your surprise isn't ruined.

Walk-along

We try our best to get toys either on sale or at the thrift store. Today, we went to the thrift store and Iw as surprised that Julia went for this pull along dog and dragged it around store.
Of course we grabbed it for her ($4).The puppy even HAD to join us for dinner.

Omaha Trip

We spent close to a week enjoying Omaha. One of our many outings involved going to the Omaha Children’s Museum. Julia had not napped well that day so she refused to let me put her down for a while but slowly warmed up. Prepare yourself for lots of photos.

The photos loaded backwards so here we are at the end. They called all the kids to the playhouse for a fit time activity. They played music and we dances around. I was worn out!

They had a huge play grocery store. This was the register they had a belt and it beeped. I checked Julia out, she DIDN’T have any coupons!
