Mother's Day Adventure

Chris took us on a lovely adventure today to a pedestrian bridge that connects Nebraska and Iowa. The Nebraska part was pretty and well maintained. The Iowa side is a work-in-progress ( a LOT of work is needed)

Here they are happy because we in Nebraska.

The cables holding that bad boy up!

My big girl!

It appears as if I am trying to pitch her over the bridge, no so. Just posing with my sweetie. Can you tell I am getting a baby bump?

Sad because we in Iowa.

Part of downtown Omaha

Running with Daddy!

Cool people are on the Nebraska side

Tired after her run with Daddy.

Action shot.
Our next stop was for lunch and shakes at the Hollywood Diner.

Guess who is sick of looking at the camera?

We took this one for Auntie Jaci...see why?

She liked Elvis.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers' Day! Mine was fabulous!

First Tea Party, Omaha Style!

All cuddled in her pj's and requesting a Tea Party, who could deny such a thing? No human being could!
We gathered our supplies and even invited the dogs.
She was a great hostess and made sure everyone had some tea. She wasn't the best at sharing her animal crackers, a few from my plate went missing...

PS: did you know that all photos on the blog can me made bigger, just click 'em!

My assistant

I have been joking lately that Jules is my assistant! The past few days have been devoted to me getting my office/workspace set-up. I need my craft space or I will go crazy. Jules really liked helping me get set-up, she got to dig in my stuff! This afternoon she was playing with my ribbon and asked me to open this roll for her, I had not used it and have no plans for it. Go for it! I opened it up and she wrapped it around her like a boa.

When there is silence

Whenever Jules is very quiet I know something is happening. She is either reading a book or has found another way to ruin something of use. I think it is her mission to decrease the value of our belonging. Gotta love determination!

A few days ago this was the product of such silence, I laughed-out-loud and she was nice enough to hold still long enough for me to snap a photo.

It's a t-shirt that fits on one of her baby dolls, that explains why it would not fit.
Love this kid!

Keep 'em closed

We have so much in common...

When cookies attack

There are those times as a parent where you just have to say, "Screw it, I am getting the HUGE cookie for my toddler, I don't care if it's cover it black and white frosting!"
I did just that thing. This is what happened:

It was Daddy's night to give her a bath. Everyone survived.
