Wild Things

Julia likes to throw her food and plate and cup and spoon...you get the point. They all end up on the floor, even with prompting to place what she doesn't need/want on the table. I found a "Where The Wild Things Are"plate at Target in the dollar section ( double score) and we tried it at lunch
Please excuse the fact that she is eating CRAP, I am not feeling well and just grabbed her some Culvers on the way home from the clinic.
She very quietly says "Woarrr" and points at the mouth of this particular Wild Thing. I was wondering if the plate would freak her out but she loves it.

She loves it so much that she wanted the food off that particular section so she can look at it. Note that her wide eyes are assisting her in shoveling food into her mouth.

OOOOOH, Wild Things!

We dedicate this post to Auntie Jaci. She love the Wild Things too.

Don't forget your boots

"Something just doesn't seem right here"

We went for a walk today so Julia could practice using her tricycle, I carried it most of the time and ended up running back to the house to drop it off. We came across 2 dead squirrels on our walk and said "ewwh". For the majority of the walk Julia said "ewwh" I got a voice file of it but no video, I can't get the voice file to post :(

The Ladies. Julia is sporting her new helmet. Yes, it is big but the smallest you can find in stores is for 3 years plus. It fits her well enough.
Just to be safe, we can leave the helmet on while you walk.

Last but not least, the reason I should have grabbed her boots when returning her trike to the house:

Sidenote: she wasn't wearing her boots because I thought it would be difficult for her to pedal in them. Oh well, she had fun and I kept telling her she was going to get swamp foot.

All about the Food...

Chilling in her bedroom eating some tasty Annies Crackers

Must be Santa, Must be Santa, Must be Santa, Santa Claus!

Ice Cream cone from Auntie Jaci

We made granola bars

Julia tested them out for us in her newly created "snack area"

Pedicure day

Normally we would have spent some part of the day outside or running errands but the spring snow kept us indoors, thankfully it was sunny. Julia and I did some laundry and had a fun picnic on the bed.
More hugs for Tucker

It was pedicure day. I was putting lotion on my feet and once I was done, Julia plopped her feet in my lap and nodded, I too her socks of and rubbed lotion on her tootsies. Gotta keep em baby softer. Here she is digging through my manicure/pedicure kit.
I think she is trying to figure out if she could hide the clippers from me

 Too sweet!

 Hugs for Hazel
Baby soft tootsies!

Mama's Little Helpter

I decided to clean the fridge out, Julia decided to help. She grabbed some of my pudding from the fridge and walked over to the draw where we keep the spoons, opened the draw and, while on her tip-toes, tried to grab a spoon. I sat her down, gave her one of her sugary puddings and watched the show:
Go big, or go home?

After changing her clothes she decided this big bag of carrots needed to me moved around the kitchen.

Once it was back, it was time to take it again.

I was finishing up putting thins back and she decided to pull all of her stuffed animals out of her room and bring them into the living room, I guess she was spring cleaning too.

Zoo time.

The weather is finally starting to turn warm and sunny. We wanted to get out of the house and decided to head to the zoo. They have this small little interactive area that I recall seeing when Julia was really little and remembered it today. Thankfully!
An interactive display about rain water and conservation. I think the point was missed but she got to splash. We were happy to see that they installed a hand/clothes/hair dryer.

"Hey, let's both look toward mama and shut our eyes!"

Chris and Julia after Julia's new hair do, thanks to the hair dryer :)

Each animal had some ":food" next to it so you could feed it. She grabbed the meat but was too scared to put it back near the tiger. Too real for her?

No verbal communication, time to move on.

Chris and Julia looking at the pretty flowers and fish.

New Polar Bear exhibit at the zoo, I love this picture.

"Bra, bra, bra!"
Gone is the tiny but of dignity I had left :)

Action!

Been awhile, hasn't it? Things have been pretty busy around here so I am just now getting to putting some more fun stuff up for you all...
Julia and Chris got to go sledding at ECFE, I didn't join them but I assume based on this photo, it was as much fun as she thought it would be.

Large muscle room at ECFE. The little dare devil just won't sit her butt down.

While the cats away...Auntie Sara put a tattoo on Julia while babysitting her.
Julia has this tunnel that folds up nicely into a raft. After her nap she decided to chill with Lambie.
