9 months, come and gone

I went back and forth in my decision to just try it myself of bring her into a studio to have her 9 month photos done. I got brave one sunny afternoon, grabbed my camera, threw on her dress, and pleaded with her to not spit  up on her new dress. Away we went. She is walking so well so I decided to let her show off her skills and got some fun shots of her walking on the sidewalk. She really likes to move so I had to move even faster to get these few shots of her. She is the sweetest baby God ever made! I am 100% sure of that.

After we finished up outside I put her in a onsie and sat down to look through the pictures. I looked up to see her struggling to maintain her balance and she plopped back into the basket and needed help to get out. I repeat--sweetest baby EVER. <3

Aunties Sara's place and Kitty Cat ears

Auntie Sara and Auntie Jaci had their Birthdays last week and we spent some time with the family

Julia is helping Nana get the brownie and ice cream for everyone, I think Nana sent her out to get our orders
 Peeking at Uncle Joe
Trying out her Kitty Ears. She was going to be a Kitty for Halloween but Nana found her a Giraffe costume.
For those of you who don't know there is a song by Raffi Joshua Giraffe and we have replaced "Joshua" for "Julia" so we sing "Julia Giraffe" the song is actually a whee bit sad so we just sing the first part.

Cookie Coma

Jules had not yet partaken in the glory of an Oreo cookie. While waiting for Chris to make dinner I thought it might be fun to give her one to chew on. My first mistake was giving her a cookie before dinner, second mistake was trying to take that cookie away once dinner arrived. Needless to say I let her continue with the cookie and after she finished her dinner, she was whisked away to the bath.

Triple the Fun

We went to a relatives birthday party and Julia got to play with her 3 second cousins who are just 7 months older than her
Not really sure what she is doing here but it is funny
Super excited about getting an animal cracker
We sat and the triplets slowly made their way over to our table to join us

State Fair Photos

Potty time

I have learned a few things in my 30ish years and one of those things is that you can't force a child into potty training. Chris and talked about it and decided to get a potty so Jules could get used to sitting on the potty and not fear it, it very well could be ages until she is ready but when she is, she won't be scared of using it. Auntie Sara, Julia, and I went to IKEA on Saturday and grabbed this potty. Today she tried it before getting in to the bathtub. We made a huge deal about her sitting on it and she loves it! FYI-the potty is red and the leaf is there to be funny, you can't really see anything in the photo :)

First Haircut

Thought the photo should be before so you can see how cute she is! Auntie Sara was over tonight and very kindly offered to give Julia her bath, after lots of splashing we got talking about the length of her bangs and how they get in her eyes a lot. We decided to trim them up! Chris has a wealth of fancy shears so I grabbed the case and picked the ones least likely to poke her eyes out. I even grabbed a special shears to give her "wispy" bangs :) She did so well, thanks to Aunties quick hands. I am not ready to have the rest of her hair cut, love those curls and want them to last until she is 45.

There is one photo that makes me laugh because she has such a funny expression.
